Our 2026 poetry competition is now open and this year the theme is “Ghost”. This should give you some great options, from spooky and fun or maybe potentially more sombre entries but as always the context and interpretation is entirely up to you.
Our competitions are open to all, anywhere in the world and the entry fee is just £5. The judge for this competition is the ever-awesome Alex Davis.
Top prize is £50 with £30 for second and £20 for third place. You’re allowed up to 40 lines in your poem and the deadline is midnight on Saturday 18 April 2026. We now only accept electronic entry and payment. NB: Please see the full entry details on our competitions page and read carefully!
