We’ve had a great first day of this year’s ‘live’ Newark Book Festival, meeting lots of people, selling some books and trying not to think how flipping cold it was. I’m told it will be less windy tomorrow, maybe some sunshine, perhaps warm enough for shorts and t-shirt. (This fiction writing lark is easy).
We’ll be back in Newark market place on Sunday 10:00-15:00 and if you’re in the neighbourhood it’d be great if you could stop by for a chat. If you can’t, don’t panic because we’re also doing a free live webinar in the evening (19:30-20:30) as part of the Newark Book Festival programme, with the help of the wonderful team at www.iaminprint.co.uk.
We’ll be talking about what writing groups do and why you should consider joining one if you want to be a writer. And we’ll be going in to some detail on our two collaborative books, Burning Old School Ties (a novel by eight authors) and The Brinwade Chronicles which is a collection of Gothic short stories that was launched today.
