We have a regular programme of formal meetings and workshops (on the first Wednesday of the month), complemented by our ‘surgery & social’ meets, usually on the third Thursday where we read and discuss some of our work with other members. In-person sessions are generally held at Newark Library for formal meetings and workshops, and at the LetsXcape Cafe for our informal chats.

We will also be launching the annual Flash Fiction competition, on the theme of Envelope.
4 June – Creative Writing Workshop: Block-busting.
Writing exercises to help break through those blocks, and take away some new ideas to work on.
3 July – Fosseway Writers Book Project.
Members will come together to share ideas and agree plans for our next publication in 2026.
Saturday 12 – Sunday 13 July – Newark Book Festival.
We will be on our holidays for August, although we may organise informal get-togethers.
3 September – AGM. Short Story competition launch & Flash Fiction results.

Surgery & Social Dates

Don’t fancy reading? Still join us – you might just get the inspiration you need for your next project and it’s really interesting to hear what others are working on.
