The final Fosseway competition of 2026 is now open! Your challenge is to write a short story on the theme of “Unfinished”. What the unfinished thing may be is entirely up to you, although we would prefer it if the story itself did have an actual ending.

Our judge is the awesome Alex Davis with the results being unveiled on Wednesday 6 January 2027. The Deadline is midnight on Saturday 12th December and stories must be between 1500-2500 words. Full details are on our Competitions page. Good luck!
